2-Btls. - Bottles 180 proof Everclear
22-Ea. -- Lemons (back yard tree) zested using potato peeler and zest gratter. Zest grater seemed to work better to control white pith. Question is, do I need to add additional water to the surup to compensate with using the 180 proof Everclear. Dan - Fulerton, CAAfter waiting exactly 4 weeks for my lemon peels and Everclear to marinate I added the simple surup after it cooled as directed in Patty's recipe. However, the batch turned cloudy. Is this normal? Anyone's response will be appreciated.
Patty,
The directions on your blog did not instruct me to strain the peels from the batch prior to adding the simpe surup.
Patty,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll let you know in about a month on how it comes out. I think I asked you this question on a different part of your blog, if so, you don't need to reply.
