Business Week talks Vox in relation to the new Pew study released this week
Pew Blog Study Shows the Lure of Storytelling is High
The Pew Internet and American Life Project has a new study out on blogging that finds that most people who blog do it to tell stories about their lives--not to write about politics, tech, or media.
One tidbit I found particularly interesting is that 55% of bloggers write using a pseudonym. This is much higher than I would have expected and I think shows that there likey unmet demand for blogging software like Six Apart's new Vox, which allows you to create filters to control who can read your blog.
Overall, Pew found that about 8%, or 12 million American adults, blog, while 39% of the population, or 57 million people, read blogs.

Thanks for letting me know. I fixed the link.
i'm sure you're unable to disclose what top secret voxy activities your crew is up to but i'd like to see the eventual roll out of custom based filters. friends and family is a great start but the ability to save my neighbourhood from reading about something that might not interest them such as a local event in Canuckistan would be great. threaded comments would also be most welcomed since i think this would encourage interaction within this growing community. just a little wish list :)
and thanks for the link! i agree this is my favourite part about blogging ... hearing the little day to day tales of ordinary folks often telling extraordinary stories
